Consultation
Proposal to reduce the PAN at Wood End Park Academy
Statutory consultation on the proposed reduction in Published Admission Number (PAN) for Wood End Park Academy from 150 to 120 for 2023/24 academic year and subsequent years.
The Published Admission Number (PAN) at Wood End Park Academy is currently 150. This means that the number of pupils admitted to the school in Reception each year is a maximum of 150.
The Governors of Wood End Park Academy and the Directors of The Park Federation Academy trust wish to reduce this by 30 places which will result in an annual pupil intake of 120 effective September 2023 onwards.
Reducing the PAN will assist the school to provide stability in its long-term planning and allow the school to secure high-quality educational outcomes for the pupils currently on our roll, while continuing to provide an appropriate number of places for future pupil numbers in line with demand in the Hillingdon area. Although the Regulations and Code of Practice relating to school admissions no longer require an admissions authority to consult when maintaining or increasing a school’s PAN, there remains a requirement to consult when the proposal is to reduce.
The Governing Body of Wood End Park Academy, as the admissions authority for Wood End Park Academy, is seeking comments on the proposed change. It is important to the Governing Body, to consider the views of our parents and the wider community.
